Located on the beautiful coast of Orange County in Dana Point, CA, Healthy At Home Caregivers is dedicated to ensuring that seniors and disabled individuals are able to remain in their own home safely and with the highest quality of life. We provide quality In-Home Care, Individualized Case Management, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care, Hospice and Palliative Care, and Post-Surgical care.

Healthy At Home Caregivers is committed to providing superior quality services based on respect, compassion, dedication, and love, at affordable rates. The individuals we serve are our extended family. Established in 2007, our organization is owned and operated by Registered Nurses and is proud to provide families with affordable care.

Healthy at Home Caregivers believes that the best place to heal is at home. This belief stems from the personal experience of our founder, when she was providing care for her mother who was struggling with her own health. Attempting to coordinate the relationships with the doctors, nurses, medical facilities, and medications was exhausting and led to the decision that there must be a better way to manage care.

Healthy at Home was developed to provide an optimal method for navigating these variables and providing excellent support for people in need. Expanding on this caring and loving model, we assist people who need caregiving services, providing comprehensive private case management.

About Pat Chiku

RN, BSN

Founder Patricia Chikuturudzi has worked for more than two decades as a Registered Nurse in Orange County hospitals such as St. Joseph Hospital, Saddleback Hospital, and Mission Hospital. An unprecedented shift in her life, leaving the fully supported staff in the hospital to help individuals in their homes was not easy, but necessary and fulfilling. 

After Patricia lost her mother to cancer in 2006, she discovered that there was a severe lack of communication among the five doctors on her mother’s case. These miscommunications in her mother’s plan of care resulted in duplication of medications and procedures as well as poor follow-up on results. These fatal errors in treatment resulted in medication toxicity, leading to a painful, premature death. 

After her mother’s death, this cause became very personal to Patricia. She says, “We can’t just look the other way. As nurses, we are knowledgeable about the complex healthcare system. It’s time to help and give back.”

Healthy At Home Caregivers is a state licensed and bonded health services organization. All care is managed by Registered Nurses. Each member of our staff is fully screened and trained to address the personal needs of individuals who cannot adequately care for themselves. We work closely with hospitals, doctors, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, and the families of our clients to ensure that a collaborative "best care" service is maintained at all times.
